footpaths
WBC has a duty to keep public rights of way open. If you wish to report an obstruction to a public footpath you will not find much help on the WBC website, but try ringing the main switchboard 01635 42400 and ask for the rights of way officer. Alternatively, contact the West Berks branch of the Ramblers Association.
The local authority for Hamstead Marshall is West Berkshire Council (WBC). For contact details of the district councillors Andrew Rowles and Anthony Stansfeld search the WBC website.
Hamstead Marshall planning applications are dealt with by the Downlands planning sub-committee. Current and recent applications can be seen here.
